PMDD in the Workplace

April is PMDD Awareness Month

So this month, we’re taking a closer look at PMDD in the workplace.

Premenstrual Dysphoric Disorder (PMDD) is a severe, hormone‑related condition that affects some people in the lead‑up to their period (usually 7–10 days before). It is not the same as PMS.

PMDD is a clinically recognised medical condition and can have a significant impact on mood, energy, concentration, and physical wellbeing. For many, symptoms ease once menstruation begins, but during that time, work can feel incredibly tough.

Awareness matters. Understanding matters. And supportive workplaces make a real difference.
